Deli/Bakery Team Associate

A Walmart Deli/Bakery Associate prepares fresh food, serves customers at the counter, stocks display cases, and cleans equipment while following strict food safety rules.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greet shoppers, take custom orders, slice meats and cheeses, and help customers select bakery or deli items.

• Food Preparation: Slice, package, and label deli products, bake or finish breads and pastries, and prepare party trays or grab-and-go meals.

• Safety and Sanitation: Operate slicers, ovens, and fryers safely. Clean counters, sweep floors, wash dishes, and monitor hot and cold food temperatures.

• Stocking and Merchandising: Rotate inventory using the first-in, first-out method, remove expired items, and keep display cases full and neat.

• Pace: Ability to multi-task in a very busy, fast-paced environment.

• Physical Needs: Standing for long periods, bending, and lifting heavy boxes or trays.

• Flexibility: Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on store needs.
