Code Enforcement Officer

This position is responsible for enforcing a variety of applicable ordinances, codes, and regulations related to zoning, land use, nuisance, property maintenance, building codes, health and safety, and other matters of public concern. This position also reviews construction permit applications for compliance, issue permits, and keeps a permit log.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED

Five years experience in commercial and residential construction industry

Will be required to obtain an International Code Council Inspector Certification within (2) years of employment

Knowledge

Principles and practices of commercial, industrial, and residential construction

Building and land code regulations

Interpret blueprints

Ability to communicate orally and written

Requirements

Pass background and drug test

Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

Valid Ga Diver's License
