Maintenance Clerk

The Housing Authority of the City of Lyons is seeking a qualified candidate for a full-time Occupancy/ Maintenance Clerk. This position assists with occupancy functions for the Public Housing Rental Assistance Program and provides clerical support to the Maintenance Department. Duties include processing applications, leasing units, maintaining tenant files, customer service, maintaining maintenance work orders and reports, and assisting with lease compliance in accordance with HUD regulations and Housing Authority policies.

Applicants must possess strong organizational and communication skills, demonstrate attention to detail, maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information, and exhibit the ability to apply program rules and polices consistently when working with applicants and residents. Applicants must complete and acquire applicable training and certifications as required by management.

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience in subsidized housing, leasing, property management, or related administrative work preferred.

The Authority offers a competitive salary with excellent benefits such as medical insurance, retirement, paid holidays and vacation. Normal working hours are from 8am to 5pm, Monday - Friday.
