Chloe Ivey, Youth Program
Chloe Ivey is an 18-year-old In-School Youth from Wrightsville, Georgia. She was enrolled in WIOA in October of 2024. Chloe was in the 12th grade and needed assistance to find employment and complete high school. During her time in the WIOA program, she attended Occupational Skills Training and participated in the Youth Work Experience (WEX) Program. Through the Youth WEX program, which works with local employers to place youth in temporary employment, Chloe worked in the office at Johnson County High School. She was able to earn money and gain the experience she needed. During her senior year, she decided to dual enroll at East Georgia State College to get a jump start on her post-secondary education. WIOA provided Chloe with stipend payments during this time and also assisted with her high school graduation fees. Chloe recently graduated from high school and was accepted at Oconee Fall Line Technical College. Her goal is to earn a degree in Radiology.
Chloe had this to say about the WIOA Youth Program, “This program has helped me so much financially and has encouraged me to keep pushing. It also taught me to be more independent, and I am very thankful to have had this opportunity.”
