LAURENS COUNTY

Katlynn Gordon enrolled in the WIOA ITA program during the Fall of 2025.  She attended Oconee Fall Line Technical College and was pursuing a degree in Radiology.  To successfully complete her training, she needed assistance with program-related expenses and supportive services.  WIOA helped lighten these financial barriers by covering the costs of testing fees, licensing, uniforms, and providing her with transportation and daycare stipends. With this support, Katlynn successfully completed her training with an outstanding 3.7 GPA and earned her Associate of Science in Radiologic Technology.  She has since accepted full-time employment as a Radiologic Technologist at Atrium Navicent.  We are very proud of Katlynn and her accomplishments.

Katlynn shared this about her time in the WIOA program.  “I am beyond grateful to have received help from WIOA as a full-time student and mother who was previously unhoused during the 1^st half of my program.  Having this support has made such an impact not only during the program, but on my life.  I will never forget everyone who has shown the utmost kindness and compassion to me and my family as I took this journey to make a better life for us.”
