Mckenzie Davis, Youth Program

Mckenzie Davis enrolled in WIOA in May 2023. She was attending Southeastern Technical College and had recently been accepted into the Radiologic Technology program. She needed financial assistance to help with the costs of school. WIOA provided financial support, and Mckenzie recently graduated as Salutatorian with her Associates in Radiologic Technology. She was also awarded the Most Outstanding Student Radiographer for the Radiology Class of 2024. She has accepted full-time employment at Jeff Davis Hospital.

Mckenzie had this to say, “The WIOA program has been a tremendous help for me during my time at Southeastern Technical College. They helped cover major school expenses such as tuition, books, scrubs, shoes, and any supplies needed for the program and clinicals. My case managers have been nothing short of amazing. They have always been there for me, supported me, and have always answered any questions I may have regarding the program. Without WIOA, I would not have financially been able to get through school and support my everyday life. The stipend checks helped with my bills, gas, and food through the entire program. I am beyond thankful for WIOA.”
