Firefighter

The City of Metter will be accepting applications for a career Firfighter position.

Minimum Qualifications include.

• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.

• Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevent to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/intership or having had a similar posiiton for one to two years.

• Possession of or ability to ready obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

• Ability to meet current requirements set forth by the National Fire Protection Association and the Georgia Firefighter Stadards and Training Act.

• The annual pay range for this positon is $36,236.19 to $55,137.64.

Applications are available to Metter City Hall, 49 South Rountree Street, Metter, Georgia. Office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

All job appliucants being considered for employment shall be required to pass a drug and alcohol screening test prior to being hired.
