Human Resource Director

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all Human Resources functions.

• Develop, implement, and administer HR policies, procedures, and best practices.

• Direct recruitment, onboarding, retention, and workforce planning initiatives.

• Manage employee relations, investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management.

• Oversee compensation, benefits administration, leave management, and Open Enrollment processes.

• Ensure compliance with all federal and state employment laws, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, OSHA, COBRA, HIPAA, and other applicable regulations.

• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulatory agencies, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.

• Lead employee engagement, recognition, and retention initiatives.

• Provide coaching and guidance to managers regarding employee performance, corrective action, and leadership development.

• Develop and manage departmental budgets and monitor HR-related expenditures.

• Oversee HRIS administration, personnel records, and HR reporting.

• Coordinate leadership training, employee education, and organizational development initiatives.

• Participate in strategic planning, hospital leadership meetings, and committee assignments.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership regarding workforce planning and organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.

• Five (5) to seven (7) years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.

• Previous management or director-level experience required.

• Strong knowledge of employment laws, labor regulations, and healthcare compliance.

• Experience managing benefits, compensation, employee relations, recruitment, and performance management.

• Excellent leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

• Experience with Paycom Human Capital Management (HCM) software, including payroll, HRIS, benefits administration, recruiting, onboarding, and performance management, is strongly preferred.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred Certifications

• SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP

• PHR or SPHR

• Healthcare Human Resources certification (preferred but not required)
