Recreation Maintenance Grounds

Candler County Recreation Department has an opening for a full-Time Recreation Maintenance Worker. Applicants must have experience operating zero turn lawn mowers and a high school graduate or equivalent. Applicants must possess and maintain a valid DriversLicense. Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to maintaining and repairing ball fields , assisting in delivering sports equipment to fields, preparing the Strickland Building/Gym for rentals., operating a variety of equipment including lawn mowers, edgers/trimmers and various sporte equipment. Applicants must be able to follow oral instructions and perform other dutes as assigned including manual labor. A background check and drug test are required prior to employment. Normal hours of operation will be 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday - Friday ; hours of of operation are subject to fluctuate during ball season and may include evenigs and weekends. Beginning salry $14.50 hourly based on exp[erience and willingness to learn. Applicants will be offered healthcare and retirment benefits.
