Motor Grader Supervisor

The Johnson County Board of Commissioners haas an immediate opening for the position of Motor Grader Supervisor with the Johnson County Raod Department. This position is responsible for the daily direct supervision of the Road Department's motor grader and other heavy equipment operators and their activities. Theis position is also responsible for operating heavy machinery and assisting with construction and the daily maintenance and upkeep of all roads and bridges throughout the county. This position reports to the County Road Superintendent.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED, must have previous experience in road construction/maintenance; previous supervisory experience is preferred but not required; demonstrated knowledge of and ability to operate various types of heavy equipment required; knowledge of occupational and safety precautions associated with operating heavy equipment; must possess good interpersonal and communication skills; or any combination of education, training, or experience which provided the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position. Must possess or be willing to obtain upon employment Commercial Drivers License (CDL). Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Driver's License. Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen.
