Farm Technician

The University of Georgia Vidalia Onion and Vegetable Research Center is

accepting applications for the position of Farm Technician. The primary responsibilities

of this position are to assist the Farm Manager with day to day

operations at the Research Center which include agricultural research trials,

farm and facility maintenance, and educational programs. Day to day tasks

on the farm include but are not limited to: tractor operation, application of

pesticides, and general farm maintenance. The Farm Worker will apply pesticides,

and will obtain a Georgia Private Applicators License.

This is a full-time position with benefits, including insurance and retirement.

On-farm housing is available but not required for the job. Preferred qualifications

include a two-year ag related degree or previous work experience in

agriculture.

Salary will be based on your level of education or work experience. Starting
