Hunter Braswell, Youth Program

Hunter Braswell, from Emanuel County, was enrolled in the WIOA Youth Program to receive assistance with attending college. His goal was to become a Middle School Teacher. Hunter has always wanted to pursue a career in education. During his time in the program, Hunter participated in the Work Experience Program at the Swainsboro-Emanuel County Recreation Department. He attended Georgia Southern University to obtain his bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education. Hunter has overcome many obstacles on his journey and has shown a tremendous desire to succeed. Hunter recently graduated from Georgia Southern and is now employed with the Emanuel County Board of Education as a Teacher.

Hunter says, “There have been times where I was really counting on my stipend check to be able to afford to drive to my classes. I can honestly say I do not know if I would be where I am today without the help of the WIOA program.”
