JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Training Unlimited (JTU) is a small company with a big heart. JTU operates federal and state grants and has offices

located in 17 surrounding counties. Our goal is to help our customers become productive and self-sufficient citizens with a

better lifestyle for them and their families. We are committed to helping our customers achieve their goals by supplying

reliable training, support, motivation, and counseling with case management.

JTU currently has two full-time positions available for a Case Manager. Business hours are Monday through Friday,

8:00am-5:00pm, with occasional events that may be after hours.

Job Definitions, Duties, and Essential Functions

“JTU case managers serve as an advocate for our customers by helping customers achieve their goals by

providing support and assistance. Case managers are responsible for making an in-depth assessment of a

customer’s needs, refer customers to resources that will meet or satisfy those needs, help customers set and

meet goals, and have regular meetings with their customer to help the customer reach the set goals.”

- Counsels and aids customers requiring education and vocational guidance services

- Collects, organizes and analyzes information about customers through interviews, records, tests, and professional

sources to assess their interests, abilities and skill levels for vocational and educational planning

- Interviews customers to determine barriers to success such as personal and family problems, finances, employment,

food, clothing and housing

- Compiles and studies occupational, educational, and economic information to aid customers in and carrying out

vocational and educational objectives

- Works closely with area resources to develop and coordinate planned activities

- Maintains and reviews customers’ attendance records, support payments, and delivers checks to participants

- Refers customers to placement services and assists with job search activities

- Follow-up with employers and instructors to determine client progress

- Counsels customers regarding plans to meet their needs and goals

- Prepares customers’ case records and enters data into Internet based computer system

- Reviews customers’ service plan along with agency staff and performs follow-up to determine quality and quantity of

service provided and status of client’s needs

- May attend meetings/conferences and provide oral/written reports

- May assist in determining client’s eligibility for financial assistance from other sources

- Work with other staff as well as work independently

Qualifications

- A valid driver's license - Reliable Transportation - Background investigation - Supervised drug screen

- Customer service experience is a plus, but all staff hired will be trained

Salary and Benefits

Starting Salary $27,040.00
