Fork lift Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Production Support: Transport lumber and mats throughout the sawmill and warehouse, supplying production lines with necessary materials.

• Loading/Unloading: Accurately load and unload trailers with mats and timber, ensuring safe transport.

• Organization: Stack, bundle, and manage storage areas, keeping the yard organized.

• Maintenance: Perform daily maintenance checks on forklifts and report issues.

• Safety: Adhere to all OSHA guidelines, wear PPE, and maintain a safe, clean work area. 

Job Details & Benefits

• Location: Hazlehurst, GA (Beasley Forest Products).

• Schedule: Full-time, frequently night shifts, and often involves weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous forklift operation experience is required, with preference for sawmill or heavy industrial environments.

• Shift/Workload: Ability to work long shifts (often 12 hours) and night shifts in industrial conditions (hot/cold).

• Skills: Strong attention to safety, the ability to operate in tight spaces, and basic, reliable attendance
