JOB DESCRIPTION

Hours: Normal work schedule is 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday _ Friday.

The position of Appraisal Clerk is an entry level position, the ideal employer should possess the ability to learn and have the aptitude to acquire the skill neccessary to become an Appraiser within 1 year. The major duties of an appraisal technician are to greet the public and provide information and assisstance, data entry into CAMA system, process applications, issue permits and general clerical duties.

Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age; High School Diploma, or GED. Associates degree preferred: Must have good mathmatical aptitude; Must have excellent oral and written communication skills; Ability to meet and relate well to the general public and co-workers; Must possess computer skills with proficiency in Excel and Word; Able to travel and work beyond normal work schedule as needed (i.e. training, conferences and peak work periods); Must also have a valid driver's license.

Experience: Any equivalent combination of experience, education training, which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to sucessfully preform the function of the job. Two (2) years working experience in a related field is prefered, but not required.
