JOB DESCRIPTION
Glass Handlers/Techs are responsible for understanding the production process in the Lamination department. In this role, you will work as a team to safely produce a large number of quality laminated units to meet our daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
Essential Functions Statement(s)
Interprets run sheets and verifies lites are correct size, color, logo and proper orientation as to base, left, and right
Builds units following standard procedures regarding sequence and construction
Trims excess inter layer according to standard operating procedure
Reports discrepancies in trim track and oven speeds to avoid backups
Perform Lami inspections to identify defects such as dirt, chips, and distortion to ensure Cardinal quality
Verifies correct logo and logo placement
Perform preventative maintenance on cleanroom, washer and rollers- performed every 4-6 weeks
Performs duties in a safe manner using all required personal protective equipment
Support safety by maintaining a neat and organized work area encouraging 5s through the cleanliness at the line, sweeping and clearing glass as necessary
May perform other duties or work in other areas as instructed to balance workloads or meet production needs

Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic mathematical skills as related to measurements
Ability to read and interpret work orders
Ability to frequently lift glass that may weigh up to 75 lbs individually and 150lbs with partner
Ability to work full-time, 8-10 hour shifts or night shift
Ability to work in cold environment
Ability to take supervision and follow all policies and procedures
Familiar with operating power tools
Attention to detail and good time management skills
