JOB DESCRIPTION
The City of Glennville is now accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant for the Police Department. The purpose of this job is to perform administrative/clerical functions in support of records management and perform various data management. Employee works under general supervision and is required to use judgment and initiative in determining the proper action or approach to use in handling non-routine situations. Employees also must interpret and adapt policies, practices, and guidelines to meet changing situations.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School graduate or GED and completion of six months vocational training in secretarial science, and;
Fine years progressively responsable secretarial experience, OR
Any equivalent combination of education and experience
Special Requirements:
Pass background test
Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
Valid Georgia Driver's License
Acquire a Notary Public certification within three months
Must obtain GCIC Certification within 90 days of employment
Formal application must meet education and experience requirements; oral interview and reference check; job related tests will be required.
Applications can be picked up at City Hall, 134 S Veterans Blvd, between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm.
