JOB DESCRIPTION
This Position plans, manages and directs all City operations, under the administrative direction of the Mayor and City Council and is the Financial and Personnel Director. Maintains communication with the department supervisors and elected officials to ensure all departments are functioning in compliance with City policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Finance, or Business Administration
Five years' experience as a Government Manager or Assistant
Knowledge Required
Knowledge of Public Administration practices
Knowledge of Local Government Operations and Procedures
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Ability to communicate effectively (written and orally)
Ability to prepare and implement short and long term goals
Ability to prepare City policies and procedures
Knowledge and ability to effectively control City expenditures
Knowledge and ability to prepare and implement annual operating budgets
Knowledge and experience in the preparation and implementation of government personnel policies
Requirements
Pass a background check
Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
Valid Ga drivers license
Acquire Level I and Level II Finance Officer Certification
