Street and Lane Laborer

The position involves doing manual labor on the beautification and landscaping of the City of Reidsville streets. This employee is under the close supervision of the Public Works Director.

Duties: Edges sidewalks and sweeps streets. Keeps cemetery clean and maintained. Plants flowers, shrubs, and trees within the City of Reidsville. Cuts grass for several departments.

Requires the ability to operate and maintain all mowers or machinery used by the department. Knows how to plant, fertilize and use insecticides effectively on plants, shrubs and trees. Be able to work on streets in adverse weater conditions
