TATTNALL COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS ROAD DEPT FULL TIME – TECHNICIAN ASSISTANT AND SHOP TECHNICIAN 2 POSITIONS AVAILABLE MAJOR DUTIES Perform repairs and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment. Carry tools and equipment to and from storage and work areas Assist in keeping work area clean Oil and grease machines Clean machine with Steam Jenny, solvent, and wiping rags to prepare for repairs KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION Knowledge of engine operation and mechanics for a variety of vehicles and equipment. Knowledge of repair principles and procedures for gasoline- and diesel-powered engines. Skill in diagnosing mechanical problems for a wide variety of vehicles and equipment Skill in performing preventive and corrective maintenance procedures. Skill in the use of a variety of hand and power tools used in repairing vehicles and small engines. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or Equivalent Punctual, dependable Valid state vehicle license required Able to work in a team and produce quality work under tight deadlines Strong communication skills Initiative and strong analytical skills Diligence, prioritization skill, and time management Adaptive learner with a positive attitude Salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
