Perform regular Safety Risk Observations to support proper work culture assessment of workers and use of Equipment during work activities. Perform Engineer Audits of established labor, quality and safety standards to ensure compliance to SOP & Procedures, effect immediately corrections upon finding deviations. Support CNC activities including: writing programs and testing programs as well as have an in depth knowledge of machine operation. Actively Lead and support Continuous Improvement activities of TPM Pillar team activities Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods. Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Corresponds with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. Communicates with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards. Assists Product Development in the review of process capability in respect to layout and equipment constraints. Corresponds with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential. Provides leaders with project status updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting on key process focused objectives. Education/Experience: Required Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Required - 2+ years’ experience in an Engineering role within a Manufacturing Environment Proficient in AutoCAD Demonstrated knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma. Preferred - Proficient in CNC programming Experience in Process Mapping and Time Studies a plus. Strong mathematical skills Be able to read/interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong problem solving and analytical skills (e.g. can conduct root cause analysis, make recommendations, and track results. Strong written, oral, communication and presentation skills required (including comfort with Excel and PowerPoint) across many levels within the organization. A sense of urgency to act and area ownership is required. This includes neonate, pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patients and the general patient population. • Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain. Utilizes appropriate pain management techniques. Educates the patient and family regarding pain management. • Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors. • Performs patient care responsibilities considering needs specific to the standard of care for patient's age. • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and the skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to the patients served. Able to interpret data about the patient’s status in order to identify each patient’s age specific needs and provide care needed by the patient group. • Maintains current knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on age of the patient and his/her clinical condition. • Follows the five medication rights and reduces the potential for medication errors. • Medical and surgical asepsis is carried out during treatments and special procedures. • Communicates appropriately and clearly to coworkers, physicians and office/clinic manager. • Demonstrates the ability to assist physicians with procedures and perform services requiring technical and manual skills under the direction of a RN and/or physician. • Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity. Identifies and addresses psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of patients and family. • Interacts professionally with patient and family and involves patient and family in patient education. • Formulates a teaching plan based on identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness of learning; includes family in teaching, as appropriate. • Demonstrates ability to revise plan of care as indicated by the patient's response to treatment. • Demonstrates the ability to perform treatments and provide services to level of licensure. • Meets current documentation standards and policies. • Demonstrates knowledge of lab requirements, requisitions. • Maintains established office/clinic policies and procedures, objectives, performance improvement program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. • Maintains a safe, comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with office/clinic standards. • Answers telephone calls in a professional manner; refers patient problems to office/clinic physician; schedules patient appointments. • Ensures an adequate stock of supplies. • Assists in cost containment through appropriate ordering and conserving of supplies and equipment. • Maintains a good working relationship with all staff members of the office/clinic. • Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly. When he enrolled in the ITA program, he was attending Southeastern Technical College (STC) and was in the Associate of Nursing Program. While attending STC, he became unemployed, and with the lack of income, the financial burden of completing the ASN program was overwhelming. WIOA assisted in covering the costs of tuition, books, supplies, testing fees, and transportation. Dylan graduated with his Associate of Science in Nursing in December 2024 and has since taken his state board exam and passed. He was offered a full-time position as an RN at Memorial Health Meadows. Dylan has been a great participant, and we are very proud of his accomplishments. Dylan shared his experience by saying, “WIOA allowed me to gain financial help and funding after my HOPE hours had been used. This grant gave me more peace of mind and lessened my financial burden of attending college. Victoria Repondsia, ITA Program WILCOX COUNTY Victoria Repondsia, ITA Program Victoria Repondsia Thompson enrolled in the WIOA ITA program in January 2024. She was attending Wiregrass Technical College’s Licensed Practical Nursing Program. Being a single mom of 2 and only employed part-time, she needed financial assistance to assist her in completing her program of study. WIOA provided her with transportation stipends, daycare assistance and paid for her uniforms and testing fees. Victoria completed the LPN program in August 2024 and went on to take and pass the NCLEX exam to receive her Licensed Practical Nursing License. She is now employed full-time at Crisp Regional Hospital. Victoria had this to say about her time in the WIOA Program. “If it wasn’t for the WIOA program, I would not have been able to finish school. Thanks to everyone at Job Training Unlimited and WIOA for meeting my every need. Hunter Braswell, Youth Program EMANUEL COUNTY Hunter Braswell, Youth Program Hunter Braswell, from Emanuel County, was enrolled in the WIOA Youth Program to receive assistance with attending college. His goal was to become a Middle School Teacher. Hunter has always wanted to pursue a career in education. During his time in the program, Hunter participated in the Work Experience Program at the Swainsboro-Emanuel County Recreation Department. He attended Georgia Southern University to obtain his bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education. Hunter has overcome many obstacles on his journey and has shown a tremendous desire to succeed. Hunter recently graduated from Georgia Southern and is now employed with the Emanuel County Board of Education as a Teacher. Hunter says, “There have been times where I was really counting on my stipend check to be able to afford to drive to my classes. Kenzie Evans, ITA Program APPLING COUNTY Kenzie Evans, ITA Program Kenzie Evans enrolled in the WIOA ITA program in June 2023. She was attending Brewton Parker College in hopes of receiving her bachelor’s in nursing. Kenzie was juggling school full-time, raising three small children, and was only able to work part-time. She needed financial assistance with tuition in order to continue her college education. WIOA was able to pay for her tuition, books, supplies, uniforms, testing, and licensing fees. She also received daily transportation stipends to help cover the cost of gas for commuting back and forth to school and clinical sites. By removing this financial burden, Kenzie was able to dedicate herself to her studies and maintain a 3.5–3.7 GPA, making the Dean’s List every semester. Kenzie recently graduated Cum Laude and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She then went on to pass the NCLEX and received her Registered Professional Nursing License from the State of Georgia. She has accepted full-time employment as an RN at Affinity Hospice. Jacob Bridges, Youth Program WHEELER COUNTY Jacob Bridges, Youth Program Jacob Bridges was a 16-year-old 11th grader from Wheeler County when he enrolled in the WIOA Youth Program in February 2023. He needed assistance gaining work experience and completing high school so he could continue to post-secondary education. Jacob’s goal was to find employment in the mechanic field. Through the Youth Work Experience (WEX) program, which works with local employers to place youth in temporary employment, Jacob was able to work at Selph’s Body Shop. This gave him the opportunity to see firsthand what a career as a Mechanic would be like. Jacob received his high school diploma and was accepted at Middle Georgia State University in the Aviation Mechanics Program. Jacob had this to say about his time in the WIOA program. “I really enjoyed the work experience because it allowed me to work a job that I was interested in.
