Austin Farrow, Youth Program TOOMBS COUNTY Austin Farrow, Youth Program Austin Farrow, a 24-year-old from Toombs County, enrolled in the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Out-of-School Youth program in February 2020. Austin needed assistance to obtain his GED and find a job. After months of hard work, Austin recently completed all the requirements for his GED and passed his last exam on June 7th, 2021. He is currently working at David Thompson Collision Center in Vidalia and is in the process of enrolling in the Commercial Truck Driving program at Southeastern Technical College. Austin has a little boy and a fiancé who rely on him, and he wants to make them proud. Austin’s account of his experience with WIOA is, “This program has benefited me financially and with other needs. The help I was provided is the biggest reason I received my GED." Whitney Benton, One Stop Career Center JOHNSON COUNTY Whitney Benton, One Stop Career Center Whitney Benton visited the Johnson County One-Stop actively seeking employment. She needed assistance with job searching and updating her resume. With the help of the Resource Specialist, Whitney applied for a position with Walmart and was selected for their interview and hiring process. Because of the assistance she received through the One-Stop System, Whitney was hired by Walmart and is now successfully employed! Whitney said,” This free service is greatly needed in the county. I appreciate everything Job Training Unlimited has done for me on my journey to become employed.” Whitney also said, “The One-Stop Resource Specialist was very courteous and professional with assisting me.” Previous Next < Back JANUARY 2022

Lindsay Hardeman, ITA Participant DODGE COUNTY Lindsay Hardeman, ITA Participant Lindsay Hardeman was enrolled in the WIOA ITA program in February 2021. She was laid off from her position at Glamourous Peach Boutique and was determined eligible as a Dislocated Worker under the National Dislocated Worker COVID-19 Grant. She was attending Oconee Fall Line Technical College pursuing a degree in Radiology. She needed financial assistance with the costs of the program. WIOA helped cover the expense of tuition, books, supplies, testing fees, and transportation. Lindsay completed the program and received her Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology on May 2,2022 with a 3.27 GPA. She was offered a position with Dodge County Hospital in the Radiology Department and is loving her career path. Lindsay had this to say about the WIOA program, “Before receiving WIOA I worried constantly and wondered how I would financially be able to finish my degree. Miahyah Green, Youth Program Miahyah Green is an 18-year-old In School Youth from Jesup, GA. She came to WIOA in 2019 in need of assistance to find a job. At that time, she was in the 10th grade at Wayne County High School. Miahyah was interested in working with children but had never had a job before. Through the Youth Work Experience (WEX) program, which works with local employers to place youth in temporary employment, Miahyah was able to work at the Wayne County Boys and Girls Club. Because she did such a great job during her WEX participation, the Boys and Girls Club hired her when the WEX ended. Since then, Miahyah has continued to work there as a permanent employee and has now graduated from high school. She plans to continue working with children and hopes to open her own dance studio one day! Miahyah described her experience with the WIOA Youth Program by saying, “I wished to work with children and WIOA blessed that wish in October 2020. This service helped me by earning a permanent spot with the Boys and Girls Club within a year. I couldn’t thank WIOA enough for what they did for me.” Natalie Willis, Youth Program Natalie Willis, a native of Evans County, was enrolled in the WIOA Out-of-School Youth program in 2020 after graduating high school. Natalie needed assistance to attend college and find employment that would work around her school schedule. She was interested in the Surgical Tech program at Ogeechee Technical College. With the help and support of WIOA, Natalie enrolled in classes at OTC and began her journey through post-secondary education. While attending school full-time, Natalie also participated in the WIOA Youth Work Experience Program, which helped her earn money to pay for her college expenses. In 2021, Ogeechee Technical College removed the Surgical Tech program from the school’s curriculum. Natalie was faced with deciding whether to transfer to another school or choose a new career path. After counseling with her WIOA case manager and her OTC advisor, Natalie decided to continue her education at OTC and applied to the Dental Hygiene Program. After she completed the Dental Hygiene Program in July of 2022, Natalie was offered a full-time position at East Georgia Oral Surgery after graduation! Natalie has been very appreciative of the assistance she received from WIOA, “Through being on the WIOA Program I have learned how to be prepared for work and school, and to work hard. With the money I earned, I was able to pay for my living expenses so that I could attend school. I wouldn’t have been able to finish college if it wasn’t for the help from WIOA and my Case Manager.” Samanta Dixon, ITA Program Samanta Dixon, a native of Toombs County, was attending Southeastern Technical College’s Licensed Practical Nursing Program when enrolled in the WIOA program. She was employed part-time with Memorial Health Meadows Hospital but was only PRN (as needed). With the lack of income, the financial burden of completing the LPN program was overwhelming. Samanta needed WIOA assistance to help with her tuition, supplies, and the daily transportation stipend to continue attending school. Since completing the Licensed Practical Nursing program in Spring 2022, she passed her state board exam and was offered a full-time position at Memorial Health Meadows Hospital as an LPN. Samanta has been a great participant, she has worked very hard and overcome obstacles that would have caused many people to give up, but she persisted and achieved her goals! Samanta shared her experience by saying, “Two months before enrolling in the program, I went through a very traumatic experience. I began the LPN program knowing the financial burden it would be. I’m very thankful for WIOA and the help I received with uniforms, weekly stipends, and required testing fees. Ruby was Long Term Unemployed and therefore eligible for WIOA services under the National Dislocated Worker COVID-19 Grant. She was attending Southeastern Technical College and pursuing a degree in Dental Hygiene. Due to Ruby being unemployed, she was in desperate need of assistance from WIOA to pay for program expenses, including uniforms, supplies, and testing fees. She worked diligently and completed her program in May 2022. She has since passed her Licensing Exams and successfully gained employment with Towne Lake Dental Group in Pooler, GA as a Dental Hygienist. Ruby had this to say about her experience through WIOA, “WIOA has taken so much stress off my shoulders by helping me financially with extra expenses such as transportation, clinic supplies, and testing fees. I don’t know if I would have been able to complete my degree without the assistance I received.” Miriam Marlin, Youth Program Miriam Marlin is an 18-year-old In-School Youth from Metter, GA who was enrolled in WIOA in November of 2019. She was in the 10th grade and needed assistance to complete high school. She wanted to gain work experience and was interested in working with children. Through the Youth Work Experience (WEX) program, which works with local employers to place youth in temporary employment, Miriam was able to work at the Candler Boys and Girls Club. She graduated high school in May of 2022 and is now attending East Georgia State College pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. Miriam had this to say about her experience in the WIOA Youth Program, “The WIOA program has been very beneficial to me. Working with the children at the Boys and Girls Club helped me decide what I wanted my major to be in college. It gave me a lot of preparation for what to expect in the future. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity.” Erik Casas, ITA Program Erik Casas enrolled in the WIOA ITA Program in February 2022. He was attending Southeastern Technical College pursuing a degree in Nursing. He recently lost his job and needed financial assistance with the program's costs. WIOA helped cover the expense of tuition, books, supplies, testing fees, and transportation. Erik completed the program and received his Associate Degree in Nursing in December 2022. Erik had this to say about his time in the WIOA program. "WIOA helped me financially while I was attending school full time. This allowed me to focus on completing my program without the worry of how I would pay for my tuition and all the additional costs that come with it. If it weren't for the WIOA program, I would not have been able to finish school." Sydney Dorsey, Youth Program Sydney Dorsey enrolled in the WIOA Youth program because she needed assistance earning her High School Diploma so she could enroll in post-secondary education. She also wanted to gain work experience through the work experience segment of the Youth program. Sydney’s goal was to one day become a Master Cosmetologist, and one of her worksites was at Bangles Salon. Working in the salon allowed Sydney to see firsthand what a career in Cosmetology would be like. Sydney received her high school diploma and enrolled in the Cosmetology program at Southeastern Technical College. She worked hard and graduated from college in December 2022. Sydney had this to say about her time in the WIOA program. “Being in the WIOA program has been very beneficial to me. Receiving the transportation stipends has made it much easier to focus on school and not worry about how I would pay for gas to go back and forth.” Kristen McRae, ITA Program Kristian McRae, a native of Wilcox County, was attending South Georgia Technical College’s Licensed Practical Nursing Program when enrolled in the WIOA program. She was recently laid off and having problems finding employment. With the lack of income, the financial burden of completing the LPN program was overwhelming. Kristian needed WIOA assistance to help with her tuition, supplies, and the daily transportation stipend to continue attending school. She graduated from the Nursing program in December 2022 and has since passed her NCLEX. Kristian was a great participant, and we are very proud of her accomplishments. Kristian shared her experience by saying, “I am so grateful that I was able to receive WIOA funding. Without WIOA, I am not sure how I would have been able to pay tuition and all the other costs that are associated with the nursing program.” Bridgette Graham Edge, ITA Program Bridgette Graham Edge was enrolled in the WIOA ITA Program in February 2021. She was attending Coastal Georgia Technical College pursuing a degree in Nursing. She had recently lost her job and needed financial assistance with the program's costs. WIOA helped cover the expense of tuition, books, supplies, testing fees, and transportation. Bridgette completed the LPN program with a 3.26 GPA and graduated in December 2022. Bridgette had this to say about her time in the WIOA program. "WIOA has helped me so much with the expense of attending school. The stipends for transportation helped out a lot with the cost of traveling back and forth to school and clinicals. I am so thankful for WIOA. Without the help WIOA provided, I would not have been able to afford to complete school." Miranda Phillips, ITA Program Miranda Phillips, resident of Treutlen County, was attending Oconee Fall Line Technical College’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program when enrolled in the WIOA Program. She was unemployed due to being laid off from her previous employer. With the lack of income, the financial burden of completing school was overwhelming. She needed assistance from WIOA to help with tuition, supplies, and transportation costs of driving back and forth to clinicals. Miranda graduated with an Associate’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography in December 2022 with a 3.49 GPA and has since passed her state board exam. She has accepted a full time position at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Ga. We are very proud of Miranda and her accomplishments. Miranda shared her experience by saying, “I don’t know what I would have done without the WIOA program. It helped me by supplying the transportation stipends for gas back and forth to clinical sites and to school each week. They also paid for my state board exams and helped buy other necessary supplies I needed for my program. I will forever be grateful for WIOA”. Alexia Caudillo, Youth Program Alexia Caudillo, from Appling County, has been in the WIOA Youth Program for several years. At enrollment, she needed assistance completing high school and wanted to gain work experience. During her time in the program, she has attended Occupational Skills Training, earned her High School Diploma, and participated in Youth Work Experience. She has worked very hard, and we are so proud of her accomplishments. Alexia says, “The WIOA program has helped me in many ways. The work experience has allowed me to provide for my family and given me the opportunity to get out in the community and help others.” Amberly Rentz, ITA Program Amberly Rentz, of Jeff Davis County, was attending Coastal Pines Technical College’s Practical Nursing Program when enrolled in the WIOA ITA Program. She was unemployed due to being laid off from her previous employer. With the lack of income, the financial burden of completing school was overwhelming. WIOA assisted with the cost of tuition, books, uniforms, fees, and transportation. Amberly graduated from the LPN Program and has since passed her NCLEX. She has taken a position as a case manager with St. Joseph’s Candler Georgia Infirmary. Amberly had this to say about her time in the WIOA Program. “WIOA helped me each week through the transportation stipends. This was a big help, especially when I was traveling to clinical sites. Their assistance kept me from drowning in debt from student loans and allowed me to focus on completing the Nursing Program.” Rancelyn Evans, Youth Program Rancelyn Evans enrolled in the WIOA Youth Program in January 2020 as a 9th-grade Wheeler County High School student. She needed assistance to find employment and graduate high school. During her time in the WIOA program, she participated in Occupational Skills Training and the Youth Work Experience Program (WEX). Her goal was to graduate high school and attend college to become either a veterinarian or a teacher. Through the WEX program, she was able to work at both a veterinarian clinic and a school to see firsthand what a career in either field would look like. During her senior year, she decided to dual enroll at Southeastern Technical College to jump-start her post-secondary education. Rancelyn will graduate high school this month. She has been a pleasure to work with, and we are very proud of her accomplishments. Rancelyn had this to say about the WIOA Youth Program, “I have really enjoyed being in the WIOA program. It has allowed me to gain work experience, which has given me the chance to become more self-sufficient. I am very thankful for all they have done for me." Alton Rawlings, One Stop Career Center Alton Rawlings has been job searching for a couple of months at the Johnson County One Stop. He completed two job applications with the help of the resource specialist, Dianne Foskey. One of those applications was at Family Dollar. Alton received a call back that he was selected for the position, and he started the job Monday, April 10, 2023. Alton says,” Mrs. Foskey helped me successfully find this job, and she is great at her job and is very professional. I am very thankful for the WIOA program and Job Training Unlimited and the services they offer to my area.” Paris Mims, Youth Program Paris Mims is 18 years old and lives in Baxley, Georgia. She was enrolled in the WIOA In School Youth Program in December 2019 when she was in the 9th grade at Appling High School. During her time in the program, Paris participated in Youth Work Experience and completed Occupational Skills Training. During her high school years, Paris was very active in the Color Guard and Cheer. She was also dual enrolled at Coastal Pines Technical College, where she took Cosmetology Classes. Paris worked part-time throughout high school and is a positive young lady who worked very hard to achieve her goals. She received her High School Diploma from Appling High School in May 2023 and has been accepted to Albany State University. We are very proud of Paris and all her accomplishments. Paris says, “I am so thankful to be a part of the WIOA program. It has helped me to develop social skills as well as work experience skills. They keep me on track by checking on me and making sure that my grades are where they need to be. Thank you for all that you guys do; I appreciate it.” Daysia Heggs, Youth Program Daysia Heggs is an out-of-school youth from Emanuel County. She enrolled in the WIOA Youth Program because she needed assistance getting her GED, enrolling in college, and wanted to gain work experience. Daysia worked very hard, earned her GED, and registered in the Medical Assisting Program at Southeastern Technical College (STC). She participated in the Youth Work Experience (WEX) Program and was placed at STC to earn money to help with the fees of attending college. In addition, she received transportation stipends while attending school and financial assistance to cover the costs of supplies and fees. Daysia earned her CNA License and is well on her way to completing her program in Medical Assisting. Daysia did a great job working at STC on the WEX program and was offered a full-time position working with them while she completes her college career. We are so proud of Daysia’s educational and career accomplishments. She described her experience with the WIOA Youth Program by saying, “I am so thankful for the help I have received from WIOA. They have helped me with supplies for school, work experience, and more.” Brianna Snead, ITA Program Brianna Snead was attending Oconee Fall Line Technical College's Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) Program when she enrolled in the WIOA program. She is a single mom and was employed part-time as a CNA. With the lack of income, the financial burden of completing the LPN program was overwhelming. Brianna needed WIOA assistance to help with tuition, fees, uniforms, and the daily transportation stipend to continue attending school. Brianna recently completed the LPN program as an Honor Graduate, she passed all her state board exams, and was offered a full-time position at Houston Medical Center as an LPN. We are so proud of Brianna for being persistent and reaching her goals. Brianna shared her experience by saying, "WIOA has been very helpful with everything. Their assistance lightened the load so I could care for my young daughter and still pursue my career. I am so thankful for this program and all they have done for me." Quintesa McLendon, ITA Program Quintesa McLendon was enrolled in the WIOA ITA program on January 11, 2023. She was attending Oconee Fall Line Technical College for the LPN program. When Quintesa applied for WIOA, she was working part-time and needed financial assistance to cover the cost of school. WIOA was able to help by providing transportation stipends and covering the cost of testing and other fees associated with her program. She completed her program of study and received her LPN license. Quintesa is now working full-time at Pruitt Health in Swainsboro as an LPN. She has always been a pleasure to work with, and we are very proud of her accomplishments. Quintesa had this to say about the WIOA Program, “Without this program, I don’t know how I would’ve made it trying to get certain things done. They have helped me in so many ways, and for that, I am very thankful.” Coastal Georgia Area CAA, Inc., Employer Services Coastal Georgia Area CAA, Inc. (staff pictured above) reached out to WIOA staff about partnering with them to fill needed positions for the Evans County Head Start. WIOA staff worked directly with the Evans County Head Start Director to host a Hiring Event at the Evans County One Stop. WIOA staff created flyers and posted the job openings on the WIOA website, social media sites, and shared the information with other partners in the surrounding counties. The Hiring Event gave the Head Start staff the to conduct on site interviews with all the candidates that attended. WIOA staff was present to assist and offer the use of other resources and equipment needed to ensure the event was successful. Evans County Head Start staff said, “With the help of the WIOA staff and the Hiring Event, we were able to hire a Center Aide, a Janitor, Teacher Aides, Substitute Teachers, and a Cook. WIOA has been a lifesaver to our organization. We cannot thank the WIOA staff enough for all their help and willingness to assist at such short notice.” Katrina Brinson, ITA Program Katrina Brinson, from Toombs County, was enrolled in the WIOA ITA program in July 2022. She was attending Southeastern Technical College pursuing a degree in Business Management. As a single mom, only working part-time, she was in need of assistance from WIOA to pay for program expenses. Katrina also received transportation and childcare stipends. She worked diligently and completed her program with a 3.56 GPA. Katrina accepted a full-time position at STC in Student Affairs after graduation. She had this to say about her experience through WIOA, “The WIOA program and staff of Job Training Unlimited have taught me that I can accomplish anything I put my mind to. Thank you for helping me complete my goal of receiving my Associate of Science Degree in Business Management.” We are very proud of Katrina and all of her accomplishments. Madison Yeomans, ITA Program While working part-time as a CNA, Madison Yeomans was also attending Coastal Pines Technical College’s Licensed Practical Nursing Program. She found herself in need of additional assistance with the cost of school expenses in order to continue attending college. She applied for WIOA through Job Training Unlimited and was enrolled in April 2023. During her time in the program, WIOA helped cover the cost of tuition, books, supplies, and transportation. Madison worked very hard and completed the LPN program with a 3.17 GPA. She has been such a pleasure to work with, and we can’t wait to see Madison continue to reach her goals. Madison shared her experience by saying, “The WIOA program has been a huge blessing to me during my Practical Nursing journey. It has been a breath of fresh air knowing that I would not have to worry so much about expenses. This program is truly a blessing, and I will 100% recommend it to everyone. Thank you, WIOA, for the constant support.” Madison Harris, ITA Program Madison Harris enrolled in the WIOA program in January 2023. She was working part-time while attending Coastal Pines Technical College full-time in the Radiologic Technology Program. She needed additional assistance fulfilling the financial burden of attending college. WIOA covered the cost of testing, uniforms, fees, and transportation. Madison worked diligently and earned her Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology. Madison had this to say about her time in the WIOA program. “I heard about the WIOA program from one of my instructors at school, and the program has helped me tremendously. I live in Lumber City, Georgia, and was driving an hour one way, five days a week, to either class or clinicals. Driving this much made it very difficult money-wise having to put so much gas in my car. If it hadn’t been for the WIOA program, I would have definitely struggled way more and may have possibly not been able to finish attending school. The help I received paying for gas, uniforms, school fees, and testing was a huge part of how I was able to complete school and earn my degree.” Chesley Woods, ITA Program Chesley Woods was enrolled in the WIOA ITA program in October 2022. He was attending Southeastern Technical College’s Associate of Science Degree in Nursing (ASN) program. He had recently been laid off and needed financial assistance to help with the expense of continuing school. WIOA was able to help cover the cost of tuition, books, exam fees, and uniforms. He also received transportation stipends to help with the cost of traveling back and forth to school and clinical sites. Chesley worked very hard and completed the ASN program with a 3.20 GPA. We are so proud of him for his accomplishments and can’t wait to see him continue to reach his goals. Chesley had this to say about his experience in the WIOA program. “WIOA was first mentioned to me during my first semester of nursing school. I applied and was accepted and began to reap the benefits of this program. WIOA has been a huge blessing to me and many others in my nursing cohort. I was able to focus more intently on my studies rather than worrying how I would be able to cover the cost of attending. My friends all joke with me regarding how often I talk about WIOA and share with other new and incoming students about how much the program has helped me and how it can help them too. I can now say I have successfully graduated from STC with my Associate of Science Degree in Nursing. I am incredibly thankful for WIOA and all the wonderful women who worked with me. Thank you all so much for helping me reach a huge milestone in my life. I will continue recommending WIOA to any prospective student I speak with in the future.” Ashlyn Waters, Youth Program Ashlyn Waters, of Tattnall County, came to Job Training Unlimited after graduating from high school because she needed assistance to enroll and attend college. After working with her WIOA Case Manager to plan and set objectives that would help her achieve her educational and employment goals, she decided to attend Georgia Southern University with the hopes of earning a degree in Marketing. While in the WIOA program, Ashlyn participated in Youth Work Experience and also completed Occupational Skills Training. When Adult WIOA funding came available, Ashlyn was co-enrolled in the ITA program. Through the ITA program, she received financial assistance with tuition, books, supplies, and transportation. In December 2023, Ashlyn graduated with a 3.4 GPA from Georgia Southern and a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing. She has since accepted the position of Marketing Manager at Jincy’s Southern Exchange. We are very proud of Ashlyn and all of her accomplishments. Ashlyn says, “I’m very thankful for the opportunity and resources this program has provided me.”

Kimberly Porter, ITA Program EVANS COUNTY Kimberly Porter, ITA Program Kimberly Porter enrolled in the WIOA program in January 2024. She was a single mom of three, working part-time and attending Ogeechee Technical College’s LPN program. Kimberly needed financial assistance to complete her program of study and become an LPN. WIOA provided Kimberly with transportation stipends, assistance paying for books, and paid for testing and fees associated with receiving her LPN license. With the support of WIOA, Kimberly recently graduated and received her LPN license. She has now accepted full-time employment as an LPN at Camellia Health and Rehab. We are so proud of Kimberly and all of her accomplishments. Kimberly had this to say about the WIOA program. “While attending Ogeechee Technical College for Nursing, I applied for WIOA to help me financially. The assistance I was given helped me put gas in my car so that I could attend class and clinicals and purchase books. Erik Casas, ITA Program MONTGOMERY COUNTY Erik Casas, ITA Program Erik Casas enrolled in the WIOA ITA Program in February 2022. He was attending Southeastern Technical College pursuing a degree in Nursing. He recently lost his job and needed financial assistance with the program's costs. WIOA helped cover the expense of tuition, books, supplies, testing fees, and transportation. Erik completed the program and received his Associate Degree in Nursing in December 2022. Erik had this to say about his time in the WIOA program. "WIOA helped me financially while I was attending school full time. This allowed me to focus on completing my program without the worry of how I would pay for my tuition and all the additional costs that come with it. Jorge Parra, Youth Program CANDLER COUNTY Jorge Parra, Youth Program Jorge Parra enrolled in the WIOA Youth Program in June 2023. He was entering the 11th grade at Metter High School. Jorge needed assistance completing high school and enrolling in college. During his time in the program, he participated in the Youth Work Experience Program and was placed at the Boys and Girls Club of Metter. Jorge completed Occupational Skills Training and received daily stipends while he was dual enrolled at Ogeechee Tech. Jorge graduated and received his high school diploma. He was accepted in the Information Technology Professional Program at Ogeechee Technical College and started an internship at Excelsior EMC for an IT position. We are very proud of Jorge and all of his accomplishments. Jorge had this to say about WIOA. “The WIOA program has played a significant role in my journey through high school, providing me with invaluable resources, opportunities, and guidance. Bailey Griggs, ITA Program TATTNALL COUNTY Bailey Griggs, ITA Program Bailey Griggs of Tattnall County decided to apply to the Aviation Maintenance Technology Associate Degree Program with Savannah Technical College. Once accepted into the program, Bailey applied for WIOA assistance. Throughout the program, Bailey worked part-time while attending school full-time. Bailey maintained an outstanding GPA and made the Dean’s List multiple times. Bailey graduated with Honors and was awarded an Associate of Applied Science in Aviation Maintenance Technology. Bailey has been an absolute pleasure to work with, and he shares his story below: “I am a recent graduate of the Aviation Maintenance Technology Associate Degree Program from Savannah Technical College and a newly FAA licensed Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic. I have been a recipient of WIOA funds and being a part of this program has been an exceptional experience. Although the application process was lengthy, it was well worth it. This program has helped me develop skills and prepared me to enter the workforce. The funds from WIOA have assisted me in completing my education on time and released much of the financial burden from my family and me. Through being a WIOA recipient, I was able to pay my way through college without incurring any student debt. Without the help of WIOA, I would have had to take out loans or work an additional job. My case manager at JTU was amazing. She answered questions promptly and tried to work around my schedule. All the staff I encountered from JTU were professional, polite, and willing to help with any issues. I am very thankful for the support I received through JTU and WIOA, and I would recommend the program to anyone!” Congratulations, Bailey! We are so proud of you and your accomplishments. Darian Love, ITA Program WAYNE COUNTY Darian Love, ITA Program While working part-time as a secretary, Darian Love of Jesup, also attended Coastal College of Georgia in the Early Childhood and Special Education Program. She found herself in need of additional assistance with the cost of tuition and applied for WIOA assistance through Job Training Unlimited. After being accepted into the WIOA ITA Program, Darian continued in her program of study, graduated with honors, and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in May 2020. Due to her hard work and dedication, Darian was offered a teaching position at Odum Elementary School, where she completed her Student Teaching. She is pictured above in her classroom. “The WIOA Program was a tremendous help during my college career. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. This program allowed me to dedicate myself to my program and graduate with honors. It also helped with the purchase of books, school supplies, and provided me with support payments to assist with the cost of transportation on the days I attended school. She has now accepted full-time employment as an RN at East Georgia Regional Hospital.
