Kenzie Evans, ITA Program
Kenzie Evans enrolled in the WIOA ITA program in June 2023. She was attending Brewton Parker College in hopes of receiving her bachelor’s in nursing. Kenzie was juggling school full-time, raising three small children, and was only able to work part-time. She needed financial assistance with tuition in order to continue her college education. WIOA was able to pay for her tuition, books, supplies, uniforms, testing, and licensing fees. She also received daily transportation stipends to help cover the cost of gas for commuting back and forth to school and clinical sites. By removing this financial burden, Kenzie was able to dedicate herself to her studies and maintain a 3.5–3.7 GPA, making the Dean’s List every semester. Kenzie recently graduated Cum Laude and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She then went on to pass the NCLEX and received her Registered Professional Nursing License from the State of Georgia. She has accepted full-time employment as an RN at Affinity Hospice. We are so proud of Kenzie for meeting and exceeding every goal she has set for herself, and we are thankful that we could be a small part of her journey.
