JEFF DAVIS COUNTY

    Keishana Johnson enrolled in the WIOA In-School Youth Program in August 2024 at the age of 17 while attending her junior year at Jeff Davis High School. She sought additional support to successfully complete high school and prepare for enrollment in college.

    During her participation in the WIOA Youth Program, Keishana completed Occupational Skills Training and received assistance with job search activities, including preparing employment applications for her school's work-based learning program. These services helped her develop valuable workplace readiness skills while balancing her academic responsibilities.

    Keishana graduated from high school as an Honor Graduate, earning her diploma while successfully balancing rigorous coursework, maintaining employment, and serving as a dedicated four-year cheerleader. Her commitment, determination, and strong work ethic exemplify the qualities of a successful student and future professional.

    Keishana was accepted to South Georgia State University, where she will begin classes in Fall 2026 to pursue a degree in Elementary Education. With her passion for learning and dedication to serving others, she has a bright future ahead and will undoubtedly become a valuable asset to the field of education.
