    Madison Yeomans, ITA Program WAYNE COUNTY Madison Yeomans, ITA Program While working part-time as a CNA, Madison Yeomans was also attending Coastal Pines Technical College’s Licensed Practical Nursing Program. She found herself in need of additional assistance with the cost of school expenses in order to continue attending college. She applied for WIOA through Job Training Unlimited and was enrolled in April 2023. During her time in the program, WIOA helped cover the cost of tuition, books, supplies, and transportation. Madison worked very hard and completed the LPN program with a 3.17 GPA. She has been such a pleasure to work with, and we can’t wait to see Madison continue to reach her goals. Madison shared her experience by saying, “The WIOA program has been a huge blessing to me during my Practical Nursing journey. It has been a breath of fresh air knowing that I would not have to worry so much about expenses. This program is truly a blessing, and I will 100% recommend it to everyone.     Sierra Connell, Youth Program WHEELER COUNTY Sierra Connell, Youth Program Sierra Connell was enrolled in the WIOA In-School Youth program in September 2024. She wanted to gain work experience and needed assistance to complete school. Sierra knew that after graduation, she wanted to attend college and get an education degree. She participated in the WIOA Youth Work Experience program and was placed at Wheeler County High School as a teacher’s assistant. Sierra also completed Occupational Skills Training. She recently earned her high school diploma and signed with ABAC to pursue a degree in Agricultural Education. We are so proud of Sierra for her accomplishments and know she is going to have such a bright future. Sierra shared this about her experience with WIOA. “I aim to be an Agriculture Teacher in the future, and being in this program allowed me to work alongside and assist teachers at my high school. This allowed me to have a clearer view of my future career path and helped me make a more informed decision when deciding on my major in college.     Adriel Aaron, Youth Program LAURENS COUNTY Adriel Aaron, Youth Program Adriel Aaron, who is 19 years old from Laurens County, has been in WIOA for about two years. During that time, she has attended Occupational Skills Training, Adult Education Courses, and participated in Youth Work Experience. Coming from a single parent home, it was difficult for Adriel to get back and forth to school without having a job. With the help of WIOA, Adriel was able to attend classes regularly and received her GED. Adriel has now enrolled in classes at Oconee Fall Line Technical College and is pursuing her degree in Criminal Justice. She has now completed her 2nd semester and maintains good grades while also participating in the Work-Study Program. Adriel has come a long way, and we are so proud of the work she has put into being successful! This is what Adriel had to say about her time in the WIOA Youth Program, “Because of WIOA, I am able to provide for myself and get to school without having to worry about gas.
